Abstract
Barrier-reef of Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile of Santa Liberata (Tuscany, Italy): cartography and biometry. - The submerged phytocenoses of Posidonia oceanica barrier-reef in the stretch of Santa Liberata coast (Orbetello, Grosseto) have been analyzed. This work has been based on examination of aerophotogrammetric material, on specimens and records made on the spot, according to the technical descriptions on the texts.
The barrier-reef presents a very high leaf shoot density and high values of leaf area index, but low values for the leaf length and high values of epiphytism have been noticed.
