Abstract

Vegetation in shelters frequented by wild ungulata, on Northern Monte Baldo. - On Monte Altissimo di Nago (northern Monte Baldo) a rare vegetation type was found. This vegetation type, occourring under shelters visited by wild Ungulata, has been assigned to the Lappulo-Asperuginetum BRAUN-BLANQUET & SUTTER 1983. This association is reported for the first time for Italy. The peculiar interest of Lappulo-Asperuginetum depends on the rare plant species, that characterize it. Among these species, Arabis nova Vill., Chenopodium foliosum Asch. and Asperugo procumbens L. are to be mentioned.
