Abstract
There are several types of botanical subdivisions of the earth; floristic, geobotanical and botanical-geographic. The present work describes a botanical subdivision of Italy based on phytosociological features. The followings maps of Italy are presented: potential vegetation, subdivision in the Eurosiberian and Mediterranean regions, geobotanical subdivision in provinces and sectors, naturality of vegetation.
