Abstract
Bioethics arises out of the need to establish a bridge between sciences and the humanities. New discoveries in the scientific field require legislation to put in place the legal framework for actions, to prevent potential abuse, and at the same time to ensure that the discoveries are put to good use.
Action in Bioethics must be ongoing and prior to commencement of the research. It should not merely be limited to an a priori evaluation of the advantages of discoveries and the use made thereof.
