Summary
Information on the high loss of fertilised ova, 40% being abnormal, which occurs in ewes mated during the latter part of the breeding season is presented.
The results have been obtained from mating sixty middle-aged ewes to rams of known potency during the period 1 June to 14 August 1958.
Seventy-seven tubal and uterine ova were recovered from eighty-five ovulations.
