ABSTRACT
This paper aims to examine a variety of transportation contributing factors to asthma morbidity by employing spatial regression analysis. By controlling the socio-demographic factors of asthma in Los Angeles County, the outputs from the analyses reveal that automobile traffic, major roads, automobile speed and bus transit negatively influence asthma. However, the analyses also found that bicycle facilities made a positive contribution towards it. The outputs imply that the collaboration of multi- level governments and transportation agencies need to develop policies that mitigate air quality.
