Activité antifongique d'une espèce en voie de disparition de la flore togolaise: Conyza aegyptiaca (L.) Ait. var. lineariloba (DC.) O. Hoffm. (Asteraceae)

Abstract

It was proved that many of the disappearing species from tropical floras have therapeutic properties. This study aims to demonstrate antifungal activities of one in that case from the southern part of the togolese mountains, Conyza aegyptiaca (L.) Ait. var. lineariloba (DC.) O. Hoffm. (Asteraceae). Plant extracts present fungicide and fungistatic activities on Microsporum canis, M. gypseum, Trychophyton mentagrophytes and Candida zeylanoides with IMC from 0,25 to 4 mg/ml. Phytochemical screening shows that these plants are particularly rich in tannins and flavonoides, which might be responsible for their antifungal activity.

Résumé

À l'image de toute la flore tropicale, des espèces disparaissent de la flore togolaise. Il est prouvé que certaines d'entre elles possèdent des propriétés thérapeutiques. Cette étude vise à montrer l'activité antifongique de Conyza aegyptiaca (L.) Ait. var. lineariloba (DC.) O. Hoffm., Asteraceae reconnue menacée de disparition sur les monts Togo. Les extraits totaux de cette espèce présentent des activités fongicide et fongistatique sur différents agents de mycoses: Microsporum canis, M. gypseum, Trychophyton mentagrophytes et Candida zeylanoides avec des CMI variant entre 0,25 et 4 mg/ml. Une étude phytochimique a montré que ces extraits sont riches en tannins et en flavonoïdes qui seraient à l'origine de leur activité.
