Lutte biologique contre la pourriture verte des agrumes en post-récolte par l'utilisation de levures antagonistes

Abstract

The antagonistic activity of a collection of 245 yeasts strains isolated from the surface of citrus fruits harvested in several orchards of the region Souss—Massa (Agadir, Morocco) has been studied. The assessment of these strains, achieved to basis of their inhibitory effect against Pénicillium digitatum Sacc., agent of the green mould, permitted the selection of 21 strains that reduced the rate of rot to less than 50%, among who 7 reduce this rate to less than 20%. The assessment of the protective effect of citrus fruits by the 7 better strains showed a distribution in three categories whose protective rates are respectively 40%, 50 to 60% and 70 to 80%. The identification of these 7 strains permitted to recognize two genera, Candida, with two species, C. famata and C. guilliermondii, and Kloeckera. The study of the population dynamic of these yeasts showed that they actively increase and persist in wounds and on the surface of citrus fruits stored at 25 °C during one week.

Résumé

L'activité antagoniste d'une collection de 245 souches de levures isolées de la surface d'agrumes récoltés dans plusieurs vergers de la région Souss—Massa (Agadir, Maroc) a été étudiée. L'évaluation de ces souches, réalisée á base de leur effet inhibiteur in vivo vis-á-vis de Pénicillium digitatum Sacc., agent de la pourriture verte, a permis la sélection de 21 souches qui ont réduit le taux de pourriture á moins de 50%, dont 7 réduisent ce taux á moins de 20%. L'évaluation de l'effet protecteur des agrumes par les 7 meilleures souches a montré qu'elles se répartissent en trois catégories dont les taux de protection sont respectivement de 40%, 50 á 60% et 70 á 80%. L'identification de ces 7 souches a permis de reconnaître deux genres, Candida, avec deux espèces, C. famata et C. guilliermondii, et Kloeckera. L'étude de la dynamique de population de celles—ci a montré qu'elles se multiplient activement et persistent aussi bien dans les blessures qu'á la surface des agrumes stockés á 25 °C pendant une semaine.
