Abstract

Kuscedil;pinar Hill, situated between central Anatolia and central Black Sea, is a transitional area between Euro—Siberian and Irano—Turanian regions regarding to the phytogeography. Such transitional areas contain vegetations of both regions as they are under the effects of the wet climate of the Black Sea and the dry climate of central Anatolian regions. The vegetation of the study area was analyzed by Braun—Blanquet (1965) approach and, in the area, three associations (Carpino orientalis—Quercetum cerridis, Querco boissieri—Carpinetum orientalis, Phillyreo latifoliae—Pinetum brutiae), belonging to the forest formation, and one association (Cisto cretici—Arbutetum andrachnes), belonging to pseudomaquis formation, were determined.
