ABSTRACT
The software market is now increasingly subject to budget restrictions and quality imperatives. Customers justify their choice by technical performances and economical criteria (price and profitability). Faced with financial constraint, it must be repeated that there is a fundamental need of good softwares which would be able to modelize civil engineering structures and a need of qualified users. This paper follows the qualified user's point of view and presents performance criteria which allow to characterize a software and quantify its quality. These performances are linked to the development of software (Quality Insurance and software engineering tools), to the software validation, its current use and its interoperability with other sofwares.
RÉSUMÉ
Le marché des logiciels industries ou progiciels est aujourd'hui soumis à des contraintes budgétaires et à des impératifs de qualité. Les clients fondent leur choix en considérant des performances techniques et des critèlres économiques (prix et rentabilité). Face à ces contraintes financeères, il convient de rappeler que l'enjeu primordial est de disposer de progiciels de calcul de qualité, aptes à répondre aux besoins de modélisation des acteurs du génie civil, et de former des utilisateurs qualifiés. Cet article se place délibérément du point de vue de ces derniers pour dresser un inventaire des critères de performance qui permettent de caractériser un progiciel et de quantifier la qualité des produits offerts. Ces performances concernent à la fois le développement du progiciel (spécifications de l'Assurance-Qualité et du génie logiciel), la validation par les concepteurs, son utilisation en condition de projet et son interopérabilité avec d'autres produits logiciels.
