Bases d'un modèle numérique de pliage/dépliage de systèmes de tenségrité

ABSTRACT

A numerical model is essential for the study of tensegrity systems folding, since complex behaviours like non-interpenetration of solids and unilateral rigidity of cables must be taken into account. A numerical model is presented, it is based on a dynamical formulation and uses an Event driven like method to treat unilateral contact between rigid bodies; this method consists in identifying time intervals over which the status of the various contacts remain unchanged.

RÉSUMÉ

L'étude du pliage/dépliage des systèmes de tenségrité requiert l'utilisation d'un outil de simulation numérique qui doit être capable de prendre en considération la non-interpénétration des solides constitutifs ainsi que le comportement unilatéral des câbles présents dans le système (rigidité uniquement en traction). Le modèle numérique exposé repose sur une formulation du problème en dynamique et une gestion du contact unilatéral à l'aide d'une technique de type Event Driven qui consiste à identifier les intervalles de temps au cours desquels le statut des contacts ne varie pas.
