Renforcement par inclusions des sols et des roches

De la modélisation mécanique au calcul des ouvrages

ABSTRACT

Most engineering design methods for inclusion-reinforced geotechnical structures, are based upon theoretical models aimed at describing their mechanical behaviour. Three such models are successively presented in this paper, and their respective advantages are discussed. The mixed modelling approach, which proves most suitable for performing stability analyses of reinforced structures. The homogenisation method, which is particularly relevant in the situation of densely distributed reinforcements, where it dramatically reduces the computational time. And finally, the multiphase model which may be considered as a generalisation of the homogenisation concept, making it possible to incorporate shear and bending effects of the reinforcements, as well as a matrix-inclusion interaction law.

RÉSUMÉ

Cet article présente trois modélisations mécaniques possibles sur lesquelles sont fondées les méthodes de calcul d'ouvrages de géotechnique renforcés par inclusions linéaires. La modélisation mixte tout d'abord, particulièrement bien adaptée aux analyses de stabilité, qui consiste à traiter ces inclusions comme des éléments de structures. La méthode d'homogénéisation ensuite dont le domaine d'application est celui du renforcement par un réseau suffisamment dense d'inclusions. La modélisation multiphasique enfin, qui permet de généraliser le point de vue de l'homogénéisation et ses avantages considérables en termes de gain en temps de calcul, à la prise en compte des effets de flexion et de cisaillement d'une part, de l'interaction matrice-inclusions d'autre part.
