ABSTRACT
The efficiency of genetic transformation of N. tabacum cv.Nevrokop A24 by the binary vector system of Agrobacterium tumefaciens has been studied. By gene expression assays the transgenic nature of the obtained plants has been determined. The influence of the integration of chimeric genes into the genome of tobacco has been investigated by following the changes in the ultrastructure of chloroplasts.
