Agrobacterium Mediated Transient Expression of β- Glucuronidase GUS Gene in Plum (Prunus Domestica L.)

ABSTRACT

This paper describes the preliminary results of regeneration and transformation experiments with plum cultivars “Kjustendilska” and Stanley. Adventitious shoots were formed directly from in vitro wounded leaves. The best regeneration was obtained on the medium containing 0.5 μM IBA and 7.5 μM TDZ. The data was used for the preliminary transformation experiment with Agrobacterium strains containing GUS reporter gene.
