ABSTRACT

The pathogenic status of strains of Verticillium chlamydosporium, Gliocladium roseum, Cylindrocarpon destructans and Colletotrichum coccodes, isolated in Bulgaria and England, was investigated with respect to parasitic nematodes of genus Meliodogynae. A modified method of screening under laboratory conditions was used. The temperature optimum of fungi growing in agar medium was also studied. Two strains of Verticillium from Bulgaria and from England promise to become the most perspective ones for the biological struggle.
