Computer Investigation of Citric Acid Production at High Concentration Level of Cu2+

ABSTRACT

The modelling of citric acid production with/without presence of Cu2+ in the culture medium was made on the basis of experimental data. Using the method of Hooke and Jeeves for minimizing a quadratic index the unknown kinetic coefficients were estimated. The simulation results had shown that the developed mathematical models could be successfully used for prediction of yeast behaviour at high concentration of heavy metal ions.
