ABSTRACT

This study was conducted out to determine the selection criteria suitable for higher yield of barley in breeding studies. For this purpose, methods of path and correlation analyses were used on 10 barley cultivars and 43 lines.

Depending on the findings of this study there were no relations of seed yield with plant height in statistical sense. It can be inferred that 1000-seed weight are used in barley breeding in a safe way for improving new cultivars having higher seed yields.
