ABSTRACT
A combined method including immunoensyme procedure and mathematical-statistic analysis is proposed for comparative quantitative evaluation of biological-taxonomic similarity of animals. The proposed method is based on quantitative measurement of the degree of antigen difference of homologous proteins or protein mixtures in compared taxonomic units. The data of enzyme-bound immunosorbent reaction are statistically processed using multidimensional group analysis. The obtained results are terminologically interpreted to assess the biological-taxonomic similarity of investigated organisms. The application of this method in zoological systematic is especially effective in examination of the degree of biological similarity of taxons with morphologically alike phenotypes, for which the interpretation of results obtained by traditional methods is difficult and poorly informative.
