Yaacov Ro'i is professor of history emeritus at Tel-Aviv University. He has published extensively on the history of Soviet Jewry. His last book, edited, is The Jewish Movement in the Soviet Union (Woodrow Wilson Center and Johns Hopkins, 2012).
