An almost ideal demand system with autoregressive disturbances for dairy products in Greece

Pages 169-173 | Published online: 05 Oct 2010

Abstract

An almost ideal demand system (AIDS) is used to estimate Greek milk, cheese and butter demand from 1960–91. The model is estimated with a correction for serially correlated errors which is proved justified. Elasticities obtained from the Rotterdam and Linear Expenditure models are compared to those obtained from AIDS.
