After elevailing his harrowing experiences besieged in Leningrad and his subsequent wartime service in the Red Army, in this article, Eugenii Moniushko describes his postwar service and demobilization from the Red Army. As such, it is the first account to describe in detail the circumstances encountered during the Red Army's postwar demobilization in 1945–46.
