Assessment, Accreditation, and Evaluation of Higher Education in the US

Abstract

This article examines the evolving interrelationship between the assessment of student learning, accreditation and the evaluation of programme and institutional quality in the US. Within that evolving relationship, it also proposes a more proactive role for student‐centered assessment in state and national quality assurance processes.
