A COMPARISON OF A “SCRAMBLED” AND A “SEQUENTIAL” PRESENTATION OF A BRANCHING PROGRAM

Abstract

A “scrambled” and a “sequential” version of a “branching” program were studied during a one‐hour session by lower sixth‐form grammar schoolgirls. The “sequential” version gave higher test scores, required less study time, and elicited fewer critical comments.
