THE ELLIOTT COMPUTER‐BASED LEARNING SYSTEM

Abstract

This paper outlines the computer‐based learning system developed by Elliotts. The system is based on the Elliott 903C computer with the modified E.S.L. tm 1024 as the student terminal.

The software package constitutes a control program PLOT used by program writers in preparing programmed material and PLACE for the real time control of the learning process. A larger system ECOLE incorporating up to thirty student terminals is described.
