Aspects of Audio‐Visual Training in a College of Education, with Special Reference to Radio Learning and Teaching

Abstract

This article comments on the present needs of teachers in training where Audio‐Visual matters, including radio broadcasting, are concerned and outlines the way in which such training takes place at Southlands College and the objectives sought. Both Professional Studies and extended Courses are outlined and reference made to the unit courses of the future.

Norman S. Spires

Norman S. Spires is Senior Lecturer in Audio‐Visual Aids at Southlands College. He commanded the Army Broadcasting Service unit in Milan and was, for ten years, a Headmaster in South London (I.L.E.A.).
