Skills, Strategies and Ways of Learning: Can we Help People Learn how to Learn?Abstract
New technology and the need to learn quickly and effectively, requires that learners become deliberately instrumental in their own learning. This paper sets out to examine what is meant by learning strategies and skills. It reviews various approaches and lists some of the attributes suggested. Evidence is presented to support the idea that learning strategies can be introduced to, and assimilated by the learner and be used in subsequent learning tasks.
