Abstract
A team from the National Council for Educational Technology (NCET) has been contracted by the Training Agency (TA) to evaluate the impact of its AI Applications to Learning programme on the industrial and commercial sector The evaluation contract is running concurrently with Programme activities. In the course of the evaluation the team has been in contact with people with training responsibility in the large and small firms surveyed and this article provides some of their views on how and why they choose (or don't choose) training technology
