Synthesis and Structural Studies of [(H2NPPh2)2N]+ [N{P(S)Ph2}2]

Abstract

K[N{P(S)Ph2}2], K[N{P(O)Ph2}2], K[PhC(O)NP(S)Ph2] and K[(C5H4N)C(S)NP(S)Ph2] were reacted with [(H2NPPh2)2N]+Cl to give [(H2NPPh2)2N]+ [N{P(S)Ph2}2], [(H2NPPh2)2N]+ [N{P(O)Ph2}2], [(H2NPPh2)2N]+[PhC(O)NP(S)Ph2] and [(H2NPPh2)2N]+ [C5H4NC(S)-NP(S)Ph2] respectively. Single crystal X-ray studies of [(H2NPPh2)2N]+ [N{P(S)Ph2}2] reveal multiple cross hydrogen bonding between the two ions.
