Pauline Armsby

Pauline Armsby is a freelance academic and consultant, working as a supervisor and facilitator with practice-based doctoral candidates in UK universities and industry. She previously led university professional doctorate programmes, and research in Higher Education. Research and publications focus on doctoral education for professional, supervision, and coaching.

Carol Costley

Carol Costley is a Professor of Work and Learning and Director of the Work and Learning Research Centre at Middlesex University. Her research interests are in examining methodologies and epistemologies for Professional Doctorates, Work-Based and Work-Integrated Learning. She is Chair of the International Conference on Professional Doctorates www.ukcge.ac.uk/profdocs

Gordon Weller

Gordon Weller is Associate Professor in Work Based Learning in the Faculty of Health and Education at Middlesex University and leads on the doctorate in professional studies specialist pathways. His interests include organisational and culture issues in research, ethics codes of practice for research students and supervisors and international doctoral education
