Repair of accidents in an attorney's office

Pages 39-42 | Published online: 05 Nov 2010

An attorney does not prepare and sell goods but instead provides services, such as giving legal advice to a client or representing legal cases before an official authority or court. These services may be deficient in some respect, and the first question is how such deficiencies can be corrected. If no correction is possible, the second question is the extent to which the attorney is liable and how indemnity insurance can help. These questions are addressed, and examples given for clarification.
