Nowhere is this trend more pronounced that in Malaysia where economic growth and structural change has created a huge demand for education and training mostly in the area of business. The high returns to education together with growing affluence, which allows investments in education to be financed, have provided a huge boost to the export of education services. On the supply side Australian universities have been particularly innovative in providing business education. This paper examines the market for business education in Malaysia from the viewpoint of Australia, one of the largest suppliers to the region. Particular attention is given to the innovation of twinning programs.
