Creating a gender equitable school environment sounds like a good idea in theory, but few practical suggestions have been offered to help administrators, teachers and other school leaders create such an environment. This article provides background information to help school personnel understand why gender issues are important in education, and the article provides concrete teaching strategies to minimize gender bias in the school and classroom.
