Saanchi Saxena is a PhD candidate in urban geography at DIST (Interuniversity Department of Regional & Urban Studies and Planning), Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Her doctoral project is an ethnography of women street vendors in Mumbai, focusing on spatial practices of vending, situated negotiations of urban policies, and the co-constitution of caste, gender, and urban space.
