Emily Brayshaw
Emily Brayshaw is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Her thesis topic is the influence of indigenous feathered ceremonial attire and the “primitivist” art movement on the design of feathered showgirl costumes on the Broadway Stage, 1917--1930. She has published on luxury on the early-twentieth century Broadway stage. Her wide interests include fashion, costume, theatre, film, German literature and the viola. [email protected]
