History and the new technology: the missing linkFootnote1

Abstract

What is needed to help assess the value of the new technology in our classrooms are more down-to-earth reports from actual practitioners. In this article I describe the positive results I have had experimenting in my classes with intriguing opportunities in the areas of student investigation (primary research in online archives), student collaboration (on discussion boards), and student publication (in ongoing websites).
