Abstract
The electron density of d-states in liquid Ni has been calculated by using a realistic geometrical hard-sphere model in conjunction with the tight-binding approximation. The calculated density of states is in good agreement with the density of states obtained in a semi-phenomenological way, and is able to account for the thermoelectric behaviour of liquid Ni.
