Abstract

It is shown that the d.c. transport properties of the chalcogenide glasses are surprisingly similar to those observed in amorphous hydrogenated silicon. If this similarity is not taken as a mere coincidence, the transport mechanism in both systems must be considered to be basically the same. The implications of this finding on the various transport models are discussed.
