Abstract
The temperature dependences of the d.c. and a.c. conductivity of oriented iodine-doped polyacetylene (PA) films, synthesized by the Luttinger technique, have been investigated. A high anisotropy of the d.c. conductivity measured parallel and perpendicular to the surface of the films has been found. It was concluded that the macroscopic charge transport in oriented iodine-doped PA films is limited by the hopping of localized carriers betweeen conjugated chains and different fibrils.
