Abstract
The magnetic and electronic transport properties of Ni80-xFexB18Si2, amorphous alloys, with x being in the vicinity of the ferromagnetic percolation threshold xc, have been investigated. The results indicate that xc, is close to x = 2.3 and yield well defined Curie temperatures Tc for all alloys with x ⩾ xc. In spite of this, the critical exponent of the magnetic susceptibility γ can be determined only for the alloys with x ⩾ 2.6. The value of γ for these alloys is independent of x and is close to that calculated for a three-dimensional Heisenberg ferromagnet.
