Screening in the linear-muffin-tin-orbital and the Korringa–Kohn–Rostoker methods: analysis of a one-dimensional model

Abstract

We study the application of the Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker and linear-mufintin-orbital niethods for a one-dimensional array of potential wells and find explicit analytical expressions for the screened structure constants which are shown to be exponentially decaying functions.
