Abstract

The importance of Walter Knighfs many contributions is pointed out and is illustrated by examples of the study of Kondo systems, the Pt NMR of the surface Pt atoms for supported Pt metal clusters, and the determination of the superconducting pairing state of high temperature superconductors.
