1. As noted by e.g. Nonaka (1994), Malmberg and Maskell, (2002) and cowan et al. (2000), organization often highly influences codification: if, under particular circumstances, some knowledge is not codified, it is often because it does not pay to codify it under these circumstances. We could add that in these cases, it pays better to set up an organizational structure for transferring it in its tacit version.
