Abstract

In this paper, the influence of Fe2+ ions in gelatin medium on the sensitivities of silver halide emulsions with sulphur or sulphur plus gold sensitizers is studied. The drop in emulsion sensitivity is shown because of doped Fe2+ ions in gelatin medium. The decreasing effect is in part caused by tlte oxidation of Fe2+, to Fe3+.
