The Effect of TAI Addition on the Ionic Conductivity and Photoelectron Lifetime of Silver Halide Emulsion MicrocrystalsFootnote

Abstract

The effect of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-1,3,3a,7-tetraazaindenee (TAI) addition on the electric properties (photoelectric lifetime and ion conductivity) of tabular silver halide microcrystals and their sensito-metric properly has been studied. The result shows that the addition of TAI decreases the ionic conductivity of the tabular silver halide microcrystals and prolongs their photoelectron lifetimes, thus to some extent promoting the sensitivity enhancement of the emulsion.
