Abstract
The quenching of imidazoyl radicals (Im) in photoinitiator systems consisting of an aminostyryl dye and a radical-generating reagent by acrylate monomers in poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) films was investigated by laser flash photolysis using a total reflection cell. In addition, the quenching of Im by oxygen in the presence and absence of a polyvinyl alcohol) (PVA) overlayer as an oxygen barrier was discussed.
