Acknowledgements

This special edition of Information, Communication, & Society would not have been possible without the work of many people. We thank all those who submitted papers related to technology, information, communication, and related topics for presentation at the ASA annual meeting in 2012 and the multiple session organizers and reviewers who spent considerable time deciding upon the best papers for their sessions. Jenny Davis was instrumental in scouring the ASA program for all the papers related to the aforementioned topics and providing us with a list with contact information for all the participants; thank you Jenny! Given the diversity and number of excellent manuscripts that were submitted for this special issue, we needed many individuals to provide reviews on the submissions. We thank all the reviewers for their excellent and timely feedback on the manuscripts. Gina Neff and Laura Robinson provided key insights at various points during this process that helped us as editors of this special issue. We must also thank Sarah Shrive-Morrison for her ready assistance and quick response when we had questions about the processes involved with the special issue; she has been great to work with and we truly appreciate all her help. Finally, this issue would not have been possible without the continued support to the CITASA section from Brian Loader. We thank you for your many years of CITASA support and hope the relationship continues for many years to come.
