1. We are not sure if it should be a necessary condition. Educational research, that also deals with similar questions of implementation, accountability and interdisciplinarity, is hardly based on reciprocal collaboration and yet there are far fewer doubts on the nature of the research. Educational research is rarely performed in collaboration.

2. The Department of Sociology of the University of Antwerp works in association with two university colleges with professional education programmes in social work, particularly the Artesis Hogeschool and the Karel de Grote-Hogeschool, for the organisation of the Master of Social Work.
