Observations of transition facilitating behavior-developmental and theoretical implications

Abstract

Ti-ansition facilitating behavior is identified as a concept that bridges Attachment Theory and British Object Relations Theory. It is described i n the context of normal development and examined closely in an infant observation from the neenatal intensive care unit where the compromise of primary splitting presenb particular problems.
