Bob Hinshelwood

Bob Hinselwood is a Fellow, British Psychoanalytical Society and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He was Director of the Cassel Hospital, 1993–1997, and Professor in the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, 1997–2012. He has written A dictionary of Kleinian thought (1989) and other works on Kleinian psychoanalysis as well as the application of psychoanalysis to therapeutic communities and to organizations in general (R. D. Hinshelwood and Wilhelm Skogstad 2000, Observing organisations); and he has an interest in methods for studying the comparison of different schools of Psychoanalysis – see Research on the couch, 2013, and (with Jan Abram) The clinical paradigms of Melanie Klein and Donald Winnicott 2018, as well as Kalina Stamenova and R. D. Hinshelwood, eds. (2018) Methods of research into the unconscious.
