Abstract

This study extended the work of Bohnen, Jolles, and Twijnstra (1992) by examining the construct network effects of modifying the Stroop Color and Word Test to include a set-shifting component. College students were administered a number of neuropsychological measures and three versions of the interference task in the SCWT. Scores obtained for each of the interference versions were correlated with scores on the other tests. Results indicated that the construct network of the SCWT is largely unaffected by these modifications. However, scores on the most modified version of the SCWT showed significantly greatest convergence with scores on TMT Part B as compared to correlations of other SCWT versions and neuropsychological tests.
